Like it or not, the amount of sleep you get can drastically impact the way you look in the morning. I personally get really bad dark circles and PUFFINESS GALORE when I don’t sleep well. Falling asleep has never been easy for me and I struggle to get those full 8 hours in. There is just so much distraction!

I was excited to hear from Zack Holland, Sleep Expert and Co-founder of cloudten. Zack provided a few tips for getting a full 8 hours of sleep. I’m looking forward to giving them a try this week!

Tip #1; “10, 3, 2, 1 Rules”

10 hours before bed, try to stay away from caffeine

3 hours before bed, stay away from food and alcohol.

2 hours abstain from work.

1 hour before bed, turn off your screens (phone, computer, TV, etc.).


Tip #2: Have a Consistent Routine Before Bed

I guess this a way for your mind to subconsciously realize that it’s time for some Zzz’s.

 

Tip #3: Think About Your Sheets

You spend a third of your life in bed, on average; the fabric touching your skin should be chemical-free and made in a healthy and holistic environment.

 

Tip #3: No Haters Allowed

Don’t allow people into your space who you don’t trust or who make you anxious. Your home is a sacred space, leave it that way.
